ASEAN-ROK TVET Mobility Programme

ASEAN and the Republic of Korea (ROK) have strengthened cooperation in the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector through the ASEAN-ROK TVET Mobility Programme, which supported intra-ASEAN TVET mobility and enhanced people-to-people exchanges and collaboration between ASEAN Member States and with the ROK. The Programme is part of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025 and has provided opportunities for 375 students and 117 TVET faculty members from all ASEAN Member States the opportunity to enrich their TVET experience through other TVET institutions across ASEAN.

The Mobility Programme provided theoretical learning, hands-on practice, and on-the-job training across five priority sectors: Automotive, Building Construction, Electrical & Electronics, Computer & Information Services, and Hospitality & Tourism. The Programme has helped bridge skills gaps, promote cross-cultural understanding, and foster lasting networks from TVET practitioners across ASEAN and the ROK.

The video showcases the ASEAN-ROK TVET Mobility Programme and highlights the positive experiences gained by the participants. The experiences and lessons learned in developing and implementing the Programme have been encapsulated in the Project Management Handbook which will guide future iterations or similar programmes.

Together, we are empowering the next generation to build a more connected, competitive, and resilient ASEAN Community.
