Lead Implementing Body for Sustainable Infrastructure advances discussions on regional connectivity and infrastructure

PUTRAJAYA, 8 April 2025 – The Lead Implementing Body for Sustainable Infrastructure (LIB-SI) convened its 15th Meeting today in Putrajaya, Malaysia, bringing together representatives from ASEAN Member States, the ASEAN Secretariat, and Timor-Leste as an Observer.

Under the Chairmanship of Malaysia, LIB-SI reviewed ongoing efforts and progress in implementing the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025 in relation to sustainable infrastructure initiatives.  The Meeting provided a platform for representatives to share updates, exchange ideas on good practices, and explore opportunities to enhance regional collaboration in infrastructure development and cooperation.

LIB-SI also discussed potential activities or actions as well as support for the implementation of the ASEAN Connectivity Strategic Plan (ACSP), including resource mobilisation, capacity building, and partnerships to support inclusive and sustainable infrastructure development across the region.

LIB-SI representatives include agencies responsible for national planning and development, transport, and public works.
