Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade leads the inauguration of Maasin Airports new passenger terminal building in Maasin City, Southern Leyte on July 02, 2018. Initially constructed in 2015 within the 36-hectare airport, the new building can hold 300 passengers daily, amounting to roughly 100,000 travellers per year. Currently, it allows the Air Juans nine-seater Cessna commercial plane covering flights from Maasin City to Tagbilaran City in Bohol and Cebu City four times a week, and the operation of a Cebu-based flying school.
